“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show

 that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

2 Corinthians 4:7

     God deserves the glory and God alone will receive the glory. Sometimes we ask for blessings and the blessings we looked for did not arrive. Sometimes we beg God to deliver us from circumstances but the immediate deliverance does not come. Sometimes we wish we could see a miracle but our eyes never witness one.

     There are reasons that these things never happen to us. The reason is that God will not receive the glory. We have tremendous power within us because we have God’s Holy Spirit residing inside our framework. What incredible feats He could perform through us. What amazing things the Spirit could allow to happen by working through our jars of clay.

     But how often have we stopped the miraculous from occuring? How often has it been our fault because a blessing was not received? We fail because we forget Who is to receive the glory. God gets all the glory. We get none. We can do nothing without Him. His is the only power. The sooner we realize that fact, the sooner His glory can manifest.
